  1. Documentation for "REACT," a reaction time measurement program
  2.  
  3. Equipment Requirements:
  4.     IBM-compatible computer
  5.     VGA graphics capability
  6.  
  7. Synopsis:
  8.     This program will measure a person's reaction time to either a sound
  9.     stimulus or a visual stimulus.  In other words, the time required by
  10.     a person's nervous system, brain, and muscles to react to hearing a
  11.     sound or seeing a visual change is measured.
  12.  
  13.     The program is extremely easy to use, and includes both numeric and
  14.     graph-oriented presentation of data.
  15.  
  16. Instructions:
  17.     From the command line, simply type REACT and hit the <ENTER> key.
  18.     A title screen with credits will appear.  Touch any key to continue to
  19.     an introduction and instruction screen.
  20.  
  21. Remarks:
  22.     This program is and shall remain the property of Douglas Whitehill.
  23.     No fee is charged to individuals for personal or classroom use.
  24.     No other commercial use of this program is granted.
  25.  
  26.     This is my first release of this program, and the first time I have
  27.     released a program for use by the general public.  I am a middle
  28.     school science teacher, and I have produced and used a number of
  29.     programs and utilities for my own classroom use for many years.
  30.     (I cut my teeth on a little Sinclair personal microcomputer ....
  31.     remember those tiny things?)

  33.     This program was written in Microsoft QuickBASIC v. 4.5.
